Strategic Aims
We have seven Strategic Aims that support inclusive local economies and helping us to build bridges connecting people and employers, and developing a coalition of interests motivated by achieving social and economic justice.
Our Values
Our Values govern our members’ & associates’ behaviours and shape the culture of our Society as a whole.

Support 1000 young people into their chosen career pathway in accessing local labour into their workforces.
Support 20 public and private sector employers with their workforce development.
Enable and support 50 voluntary and community organisations in playing an active role in shaping economic growth that supports local places.
General commitments
Grow local spending power and wealth circulating within local communities.
Promote local grassroots enterprise development.
Develop innovative approaches to social investment that contribute to growing local economies.
Deliver community engagement programmes to enable local people to drive community regeneration.
Where we work
We are very much focussed on growing local economies within East Birmingham.
Our administrative base is in St Paul’s Centre, Bordesley Green adjacent Heartlands Hospital.
Our associates work flexibly across East Birmingham using community venues, public service outlets and in the spaces and places where people congregate.
Labour markets are flexible, and we will work with people beyond East Birmingham and over time grow our offer and presence beyond our city limits.
How we work
As a mission focussed organisation, we ensure that our services deliver on our strategic aims and make a positive difference to the lives of people living in the communities we serve. We look for funding that supports four pillars of activity:
1. Connect & convene – connecting people to work opportunities
2. Collaborate – building partnerships with community organisations and public sector institutions
3. Advocate – advocating for policy change that creates sustainable economic opportunities
4. Grow –shaping local economies bottom up.
